The man accused of killing a Navajo Nation police officer is now facing a new charge.
Kirby Cleveland is charged with murdering Officer Houston Largo in 2017 during a domestic dispute. The feds say they will not pursue the death penalty in the case.
According to court documents, Cleveland was one of three inmates that beat up another inmate at Sandoval County Detention Center on Thursday. That inmate suffered major injuries to the face, head and right leg.
Cleveland is now charged with aggravated battery.
