Man steals, crashes Water Utility truck in southeast Albuquerque

An Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority truck was stolen and then later crashed Sunday.

According to a criminal complaint, an employee was loading a truck with the keys in the ignition at a home near Coal and Carlisle. 

Police say 27-year-old Daniel Haas took advantage of the situation, stole the truck and crashed into two other cars.

The spree ended at Central and San Pedro where he wrecked into a third car.

Haas is facing 15 charges including reckless driving and criminal damage to property.
