A jury has found a man who opened fire outside a school during a road rage incident guilty.
The victims say they were almost rear-ended as they were taking a turn. Then, Vincent Lobato gave them an obscene gesture and followed them to Sierra Vista Elementary, where he stopped and opened fire at the couple’s SUV.
One bullet narrowly missed the woman’s headrest.
Three rounds hit the elementary school, just minutes before dismissal time.
Thursday, a jury found him guilty of shooting at or from a motor vehicle and criminal damage to property, but not guilty of aggravated assault.
The D.A.’s office says he faces a possible four years in prison when he’s sentenced.
