The feds haven taken over the case against a man who allegedly carjacked a driver at a campground in Pecos.

Taos County Sheriff’s Office says Tranquilino Valencia and an accomplice flashed a gun at the man and took his car keys and wallet.

Court documents say deputies found him after the victim tracked his iPhone with an app to Valencia’s home.

The feds are charging him with being a felon with a gun and carjacking.
