Deputies say a local dairy farm employee was killed by his co-worker.

Deputies in Curry County say 29-year-old Leonidas Flores opened fire in the milking barn of a dairy near the New Mexico-Texas border Thursday afternoon.

According to a criminal complaint, Flores came into work as usual, then shot a co-worker after he told Flores to “get back to work.”

Flores was captured on scene and charged with murder.
