A man accused of shooting at two officers in separate incidents last month is facing 10 years in federal prison.

Authorities say Johnny Black shot at a Rio Arriba County deputy in early June, then shot at a State Police officer who was chasing him a couple of weeks later in Espanola.

Since the second chase went through the Santa Clara Pueblo, Black is facing federal charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.

Black is being held without bond until his trial.
