The man accused of beating his 5-year-old daughter to death with a shoe will stay locked up until trial.
It happened earlier this month at an apartment near Gibson and Carlisle. According to police, Brandon Reynolds says he was spanking the girl for not doing her homework.
Prosecutors filed a motion to keep Reynolds in custody. Reynolds’ defense argued he has no criminal history, but Judge Nan Nash granted the state’s request.
