Police say an Uber driver helped them track down the man who allegedly hit and killed another driver.

Casey Zuni, 24, faced his first court appearance Wednesday for the fatal crash that killed 28-year-old Alyssa Barboa.

Last Wednesday, police say Zuni slammed into her at Comanche and Pennsylvania, sending her car into a cinderblock wall.

Two others in her car were injured.

Witnesses say Zuni then hopped on a motorcycle and fled the scene.

Officers found him after an Uber driver alerted them that he had just dropped off a man who was bleeding and was visibly hurt.

Police say it didn’t take long to put together all the pieces.

Zuni had been in the hospital since the crash. Prosecutors are asking he be held without bond until trial.
