The man accused of hitting and killing a New Mexico teen will stay behind bars until trial.
Authorities say Oscar Anchondo was speeding when he hit and killed 16-year-old Beto Romero from Gadsen High School last month.
He’s suspected of being high on meth at the time of the crash. Anchondo was released under various conditions, then a warrant was issued after he disappeared from his home.
He was eventually arrested, leading up to his court appearance Friday.
Judge Marci Beyer ruled he would be held behind bars on a no bond hold.
