The woman police say left six dogs to die in an SUV was expected to give her plea Monday, but she never showed up.

Last month, police say a breeder hired Sara Mauter and her boyfriend on Craigslist to drive her dogs to Texas.

Police say Mauter backed out of the deal and left the dogs in an SUV outside of a plant nursery on Lomas near San Mateo.

Mauter faces six counts of animal cruelty.

She was supposed to be arraigned Monday, but she didn’t come into court.

A judge has now issued a warrant for her arrest.
