The Albuquerque Police Department says a man with five prior DWI convictions was arrested for driving drunk.

It happened Wednesday near the intersection of Coors and Bluewater. An officer says he spotted 41-year-old Tomas Aguilar swerving through traffic.

He pulled Aguilar over and says he smelled of alcohol, and refused to take a field sobriety test.

The officer says he found marijuana and an empty liquor bottle in Aguilar’s car.
