An Albuquerque man accused of stabbing another to death at a halfway house will be held behind bars until trial.

Police say 48-year-old Tyrone Herrera stabbed another man with a pen at Diesen Charities last week.

Herrera is facing an open count of first-degree murder.

Tuesday, Herrera appeared in district court where Judge Cristina Jaramillo granted the state’s preventative detention motion.
