Five Farmington teenagers have been arrested after police say they burglarized a home and stole guns, then took them to school.

Farmington police say they got a call Thursday afternoon about a student bringing a gun and ammo to Piedra Vista High School.

Police say the student and four other teens, ages 15 to 17, stole them from a home near the school. They believe the students were involved in a gang.

“None of the suspects made statements that they were going to use any of the weapons or ammunition in the act of school violence,” Farmington Police Department spokesperson Georgette Allen said.

Police also found a car at Lions Wilderness Park with more stolen weapons and property inside. The teens’ names are not being released.
