An inmate who escaped from a New Mexico hospital was arrested Wednesday after a long SWAT standoff.
The Rio Arriba County Sheriff says 27-year-old Ricky Martinez escaped from an Espanola hospital on Christmas.
This wasn’t his first escape. He took off from the jail in Tierra Amarilla back in July.
Wednesday afternoon, Martinez was taken into custody after deputies and federal agents found him at a home in Chimayo.
It took nearly two hours to get him out.
