A New Mexico woman who stole more than $12,000 from a grocery store has been sentenced to probation.

Rosa Davis worked at the Clovis Albertsons where she used a variety of techniques to steal money, including issuing fake refunds.

Investigators say Davis had a very ill parent at the time.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors agreed to probation as long as she pays full restitution.

She faced up to 80 years in prison.
