ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened at 4400 Montgomery Blvd. NE around midnight Wednesday. Police responded to an apartment complex and when officers arrived they found a man who had been shot in the chest, he died on scene.
APD says that two men got into a fight during a party at the complex, and the fight ended with one man shooting the other. They say the two men knew each other and there is no current risk to the public. “It seems to be an isolated incident. Again, an altercation sustained between two individuals. So there is no threat to the public,” APD Lieutenant Ray Del Greco said.
Officials says no arrests have been made. APD detectives are still working to identify the suspect.
