ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at Coronado Mall Wednesday evening. APD says around 6 p.m. they were dispatched to a shooting with injuries on the north side upper parking lot of the mall.

Police say officers at the scene discovered one male lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. Authorities say the scene was secured and rescue was called.

The man was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital and was seriously injured but it was determined that his injuries were non-life-threatening. At this time it’s unclear what led up to the shooting. This is the second shooting in the Coronado parking lot in the last few days after a man was killed in the same area on Sunday.
