A teen who killed another teen during a road rage incident has taken a plea deal.

Police say Damian Luna was riding with Alexis Rogers in the South Valley last year. When they got into an altercation on the road with 16-year-old Efrain Azarte Jr., Luna shot Azarte.

Luna faced a murder charge, but Tuesday he pleaded guilty to one count of shooting at or from a motor vehicle. The District Attorney’s office says that was the top charge prosecutors would have been able to seek if the case went to trial.

The driver, Alexis Rogers, has a plea hearing set for Thursday.
