A man was arrested for his fifth DWI after driving the wrong way in downtown Albuquerque.

Police say they spotted Anthony Walker driving the wrong way down Second Street late last Thursday.

According to a criminal complaint, officers watched as the 39-year-old pulled up on the curb, facing south in the northbound lane and stopped his vehicle.

Police say Walker had bloodshot eyes, and smelled of alcohol.

He later admitted to having at least four beers before getting behind the wheel.

As a result of his prior record, police were able to get a warrant to test his BAC.
