ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque residents who have been plagued by tumbleweeds this week got a helping hand from the city.

Ventana Ranch West was buried in them on Wednesday.

Homes and cars were covered in tumbleweeds, one woman’s backyard was filled up to her roof.

It was all cleaned up Saturday.

City Solid Waste and Municipal Development sent out around more than two dozen people to deal with the problem.

Residents in that area are hoping that heavy winds won’t bring back another tumbleweed avalanche.
