KRQE News 13 has learned of another alleged victim of a former New Mexico football coach accused of rape.
Damien Hyatt, who worked as an assistant coach in Moriarty, is facing rape, criminal sexual contact, child pornography, bribery of a witness, and other charges.
According to recently unsealed court documents, a total of five alleged victims have been identified.
He’s accused of raping one of them and trying to have sex with the others starting in 2015, and in the process inappropriately touching some of them and giving liquor to them.
Hyatt is awaiting trial. He was fired shortly after charges were filed.
A sixth alleged victim claims Hyatt raped her when he was a classmate at a Moriarty High School. She says she reported it but nothing was done and Hyatt was later hired as a coach.
