County wants input on tax break proposal for low income property owners

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County wants your input on a possible tax break for low-income property owners. An estimated 50,000 residences around the county could be eligible for the rebate, which would apply to property owners making less than $24,000 a year. A public hearing is being held during Tuesday’s county commission meeting, which starts at 5 p.m. Also happening Tuesday night, the commission will choose a new chair after former chair Art De La Cruz left at the end of last year.
