On Monday, Albuquerque City Council will likely decide on whether or not to ban single-use plastic.

The proposed ordinance would restrict the use of plastic bags, plastic straws and foam carryout food containers. However, councilors say they may not enact the full proposal all at once.

The Albuquerque Journal reports action taken on Monday could implement just part of the proposal.
