A construction project is making it harder for commuters to get in and out of downtown Albuquerque.
The city says a developer is working on sewer and water lines at the intersection of Fifth and Coal. That means a detour for drivers.
“We’ll see in the morning when traffic starts up. The people coming in from the social security office, me trying to get out hat way is going to be a little bit of a hassle, especially since it’s only one way in from that direction,” resident Gabriel Quesada said.
The city says the company has a permit to work through Jan. 18, but the work may wrap up sooner.
