A new complex is going up on Kirtland Air Force Base designed to save the government money.

Construction on the Albuquerque Complex Project began last Friday.

It will house more than a thousand employees working the DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration or the NNSA.

The new site reduces the amount of maintenance for the organization by $40 million.

It also provided local employees with state of the art facilities and they will now all be located in one place.
