ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – County commissioners have postponed a decision on a proposal to build a new community in southwest Albuquerque.
Santolina would sit along I-40 between Atrisco Heritage High School and the Metropolitan Detention Center.
It would be home to its own businesses, parks, town centers and neighborhoods.
Some people in the South Valley are worried about the water it would use and they are fighting the project. Commissioners have delayed a decision until May 11.
