Colorado DOT worker dies after getting hit by car


PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. (KRQE) – A Colorado Department of Transportation worker has died after being hit by a car.

Nolan Olson, 64, was filling pot holes on Highway 160 earlier this month when a car drifted from its lane and hit him.

Olson suffered severe injuries to his legs and irreversible brain damage.

He died Sunday after 14 years of service with the DOT.

The driver who hit him was cited for careless driving.
