College students donate teddy bears to New Mexico foster kids

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Some college students made a warm and fuzzy donation to New Mexico’s foster kids Tuesday.

Students from Highlands University dropped off mounds of stuffed animals at the Juvenile Justice Center Tuesday morning.

Organizers say teddy bears can be therapeutic for kids facing the challenges of foster care, especially the court hearings that often come along with it.

The Highlands Student Association also does pick-ups around the community from anyone interested in donating.
