State Police have arrested a New Mexico club owner on drug trafficking charges.

Mario Amparan, 48, was arrested in Velarde Tuesday after a search of his business, Club Lumina, revealed 79 baggies of cocaine, a scale covered in white powder and a variety of pills.

The arrest follows an undercover sting operation. The police say Amparan was selling the drugs out of the club and his home.

A search of court records shows seven other trafficking charges in Amparan’s past.
