CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – A Clovis man accused of killing his mom’s husband has pleaded not guilty to murder charges.
The incident happened last month at a home on the 2800 block of South Tennessee. When police got there, they found 61-year-old Jimmy Stotts unresponsive.
When police questioned 42-year-old Ricky Goodman, he told police he stabbed Stotts after an argument turned physical. It was Goodman’s mom who called police after witnessing the fight.
If convicted, Goodman faces up to 15 years behind bars.
