City votes to clean up abandoned home near Central, Lousiana

News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Monday night, a city council committee voted to hold the owners of a nasty house responsible or have them pay up.

The city has been trying for years to get the owners of the home near Central and Louisiana to clean up the area. People have trashed the abandoned home, and use it for partying.

At the finance committee meeting Monday night, the city agreed to have the owners clean up the property and tear down the house, or the city will do it for them and charge them $21,000 for the trouble.
