City of Clovis hosts horse adoption event

The City of Clovis is hosting an adoption event to get wild horses and burros a chance at new life.

The Bureau of Land Management is holding a two-day adoption event at the Curry County Fairgrounds.

Potential adopters must be 18 years old, have no prior convictions of animal abuse, and have a minimum of 400 square feet of space per animal.

The event is Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
