ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The city has released its own investigation into the Albuquerque Police Department and Taser scandal.

The internal audit says city employees not only bypassed the normal procurement process, they did so intentionally.

It also revealed numerous APD employees accepted favors from Taser along the way including a $1,000 donation to the APD ski team and a $1,300 dinner at Marcello’s for APD staff and their guests.

City CAO Rob Perry agreed to make changes after seeing the report. He wouldn’t go on camera after KRQE News 13 reached out to him.
