ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Monday, city councilors approved a set of new rules for the Albuquerque Rapid Transit bus line, and if you don’t follow them it could cost you.

One ordinance looks at charging people with a misdemeanor if they are just “hanging out” at ART stations. If you don’t pay the bus fare, you can get hit with a steep fine.

The last ordinance prohibits smoking at ART bus stations.
