The cold front that pushed through on Wednesday is still keeping temperatures down for parts of eastern New Mexico today. But, central and western New Mexico will enjoy another spring-like afternoon. An area of high pressure will remain in control of our weather for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. This will allow temperatures all across the state to climb above normal and they’ll be so warm by Saturday some areas in eastern New Mexico will be close to setting record highs. So there won’t be any major changes in the weather until later next week. That’s when a storm system could bring colder air back and the chance for mountain snow to parts of New Mexico.
