Get ready for high fire danger and strong, gusty wind return for the week ahead. Red Flag Warnings are already up for Monday for much of New Mexico. This of course means no outdoor burning with the dry, warm and windy conditions that are ahead. Dry, westerly flow kicks in for your Monday and that means you’ll be feeling warmer than normal temperatures once again along with some strong breezes. Eventually a cold front does try to move in by the middle of the week. This will really crank up the wind for Wednesday and elevate our Fire Danger for much of the state. This front won’t bring much in the way of shower chances but it will drop our temperatures back to more seasonable highs or even slightly below average temps for the middle and latter portion of the week.
