Albuquerque has a shot at some spot showers and storms early on this evening.  Most of the thunderstorm activity will continue to be across the north and northeast.  Moisture then really starts to increase across New Mexico for Tuesday afternoon.  Flash Flood Watches are up for places like Tucumcari, Clovis, Portales, Roswell, Carlsbad and Hobbs for Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday.  Tropical moisture from what is now Hurricane Newton in the Pacific will be moving into southern New Mexico tomorrow and we will continue to draw in the moisture from Newton for Wednesday.   Some of the rain could be heavy at times so flooding is huge threat especially for the areas that received so much rain just last week like Hobbs and Carlsbad.  Stay with KRQE for more updates on the Flooding threat throughout the week!
