Case closed for shooting death at marijuana compound near Ruidoso

News

RUIDOSO, N.M. (KRQE) – Case closed for a shooting death at a marijuana compound in Lincoln County.

Chad Bailey was shot to death last year at the compound near Ruidoso.

The gun used to belong to Ruidoso attorney Mandy Denson, who co-owned the marijuana compound and who was with Bailey at the time of the shooting.

District Attorney John Sugg released a brief statement that his office will be closing the case, saying there is insufficient evidence to believe a successful prosecution could occur.
