Brigman leads top three at U.S. Open Qualifier

ALBUQUERQUE(KRQE) – DJ Brigman played the best round in a U.S. Open local qualifier at Twin Warriors Monday. Brigman’s low round of 68 has him excited about trying to play in another U.S. Open.

He and two others advance to the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier.

“I mean I have been fortunate to play in three U.S. Opens and they have been the highlights of my career,” said Brigman. I am excited to have the next step in front of me.”

Brigman was followed by Colin Pratt’s 70. Former Lobo Victor Perez and former Aggie Patrick Beyhan fired a 71 and had to decide the third spot with a playoff. Perez won on the fifth playoff hole to claim the third spot and make Beyhan the first alternate. The U.S. Open is in June.
