ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – He’s one of New Mexico’s favorite sons, and now Brian Urlacher is serving as an inspiration to boys across the country. His childhood is the focus of a new children’s book, a book with the message of passion and perseverance.
On the field, he was known as one of the monsters of the midway as he proudly wore #54 for the Chicago bears for 13 seasons. But the Lovington native and former University of New Mexico star is known for so much more.
Author Sean Jensen, a former Chicago Sun Times reporter is now bringing Urlacher’s story to life in a new children’s book called “Middle School Rules” and it will be available Feb. 17.
