News

The Boy Scouts of America Great Southwest Council is welcoming girls into their ranks. The new Scouts BSA program will begin admitting girls ages 11 to 17 Friday, February 1.

Friday’s event begins at 5 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. Members of Scouts BSA and Arrow of Light are welcome to attend.

The price of $20 per scout will include activities and food.

The program’s aim is to offer girls the same scouting program as boys, with the same opportunity to become the highest rank of Eagle Scout.
