A local boy scout troop is turning to the community for help by selling Christmas trees.

Boy Scout Troop 409 had its camping gear stolen over the summer in Albuquerque.

Now, they are hoping to recover from the loss by raising money through an annual Christmas tree fundraiser.

They are looking to sell more than 200 trees by mid-December.

However, the experience means a lot more to the Boy Scouts than the money itself.

If you are interested in helping, the troop will be selling trees at Mile High Little League, which is near Juan Tabo and Lomas.

They are open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.
