Boy Scouts lend a hand to Durango firefighters

DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) – The Boy Scouts are giving a helping hand to clear up snow covered fire hydrants in Durango.

That area has had so much snow, the fire department has had some trouble keeping its fire hydrants clear. They asked for some help digging them out, and the Boy Scouts came to the rescue.

According to the Durango Herald, about six scouts and three adults from Troop 501 hit the streets for hours Sunday, making the town safer.
