A Clovis woman is accused of embezzling more than $55,000 from the dairy where she worked as a bookkeeper.
According to a criminal complaint, Sunni Castillo forged payroll checks, altered bank statements and then fiddled with accounting records to cover her tracks while working at Palla Dairy.
She is facing more than 100 counts of forgery for transactions dating back to July of 2017.
According to the Eastern New Mexico News, Castillo’s attorney says she is claiming innocence but she has not yet entered a plea.
