ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque BioPark is working to help save the elephants. The zoo is currently home to six Asian elephants.
They’re the world’s largest land animal but they face extinction due to ivory poaching. So, the BioPark is hosting Conservation Day at the zoo.
The goal is to educate the public about the elephant’s history and diet, how they forage and more.
Elephant Conservation Day is this Saturday at the BioPark from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
