The Albuquerque BioPark is gearing up to host a fun, unique and informative event featuring tapas, adult beverages, and answers to “matters of the heart” in the animal kingdom. Love is never simple — not even for animals. In fact, it usually involves elaborate rituals, each as unique as the species itself.
For example, Flamingos are monogamous. Courtship involves dancing, and pairs hang out in groups of up to a million! Asian Elephants are romantic.
During the adults-only guided evening tour of the Zoo, guests will graze “like an animal”…enjoying adult beverages and hearty appetizer stations along the tour route while the guide discusses the birds and the bees of select zoo animals.
The ABQ BioPark “Like an animal: The Grazing & Sex Tour” takes place on Friday night, May 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm. The cost is $32 per person. NMBPS members receive 10 percent off. It includes after-hours Zoo admission, a 1.5-hour tour, tapas-style appetizers and a specialty welcome cocktail.
