Biochemical process weakening Titanic ship wreck site

It’s the world’s most famous shipwreck, but fewer than 200 people have been able to see for themselves the Titanic.

That is about to change.

The titanic sank April 15th in 1912.

Starting in May 2018, U.S. based company Oceangate, will begin expeditions sending manned submersibles to the ocean floor to document and map the wreck before it deteriorates.

Biochemical processes are weakening the ship’s structure.
