Bill would allow mail order prescriptions to be filled in stores

The House Commerce and Economic Development Committee is expected to hear a bill that could impact how you get your prescriptions.

House Bill 138 would require health insurers to allow local brick and mortar pharmacies to provide patients with their prescriptions that otherwise would have to be filled via mail-order. Mail delivery in rural areas can be less efficient and many areas in New Mexico have high rates of mail theft.
