A bill decriminalizing prostitution for kids under 18-years-old is awaiting the governor’s signature.
House Bill 56 ensures minors in prostitution cases are not charged with a crime. Instead, the children would be looked at as human trafficking victims.
The bill also requires state agencies to provide them with protection and trauma services.
