Bill increasing minimum wage heads to governor’s desk

Senate Bill 437 passed 43 to 21. Currently, New Mexico’s minimum wage is $7.50 an hour, but pending the governor’s signature beginning in October, the minimum wage will go up by $1.

By January 2022 it will be $11. Wages will also go up for servers making tips. The governor will likely sign the bill.
